The BEST Parts About MY Wedding! { Fri-YAY Blog }

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a Fri-yay blog post, but thats what summer is all about right?

Since it is the weekend of my wedding anniversary – and I JUST yesterday finally uploaded my wedding portraits ( from Brandon Rais Photography – Jason Elstone and Sculpted Films LLC ) I figured it would be fun to show you the favorite parts from my big day almost TWO years ago!!!

1- My DETAILS! Ughhhhh Harry Potter flowers – that fresh lavender from MerriCraft Florist – the fact that my flowers smelled like books and lavender… ah <3  And my Ring was designed by Jonathan ( the hubs ) I was totally shocked and in awe when he proposed!

2. We did a first look. Jonathan and I actually stayed the night together before our wedding, with daughter Sawyer. We took our time in the morning getting strabucks at the hotel – walked the water and then parted ways until our first look! For us, it started the day with a relaxing vibe that kept on all day long. AND we got to get some solo time with Sawyer before the rush.

3. I danced… All.. Night … Long. We had a destination wedding at the GORGEOUS Mission Pointe on Mackinaw Island – so I was lucky enough to celebrate with my guest for three days – not just one! So we didn’t have to go table to table to thank everyone and say hello. I actually made speech thanking everyone ( and yes I cried ) and told everyone to come dance with me if they wanted to talk!

PS I dance at EVERY wedding I work – look out people, the moves are terrible hahah! And yes – only Dave ( the groom of the wedding I shot where Jonathan and I “re met ” is the ONLY one who could ever make me do the Alligator dance in a wedding dress…

4. MY DRESS .. and DANGGG isn’t my husband a total babe?!

And I didn’t wear shoes 😉 Who needs them on an island?

5. The favorite part of my day … was that I married my best friend. Which my lovely friends is the goal isn’t it?

“Place me like a seal over your heart,

like a seal on your arm.

For love is as strong as death,

its jealousy as enduring as the grave.

Love flashes like fire,

the brightest kind of flame.

Many waters cannot quench love,

nor can rivers drown it.

If a man tried to buy love,

with all of his wealth,

his offer would be utterly scorned.”

Song of Solomon 8:6-7
