So last night I had the opportunity to photography at the University of Michigan’s Liem Irish Dance Team. I was a very cool experience for me because I had never been able to see what I was like behind the scenes. The theater looked like it was old and gave it a really cool vintage feel to it which I liked. I met the team and everyone was really nice and appreciated the fact that I was there to take pictures of them. Who doesn’t like pictures? I was there an hour early and was able to start photographing the warm up and practicing before show time. It was awesome to see the dedication and the time they spent to make sure everyone was prepared and read to preform. For me being the photographer I was able to capture those moments and that is what makes me enjoy what I do. I moved around a lot during the show capturing shots from many different angles. The dancing from this team was incredible – it was captivating to see them preform together and the choreography was excellent. They were funny as well because they danced to Psy’s – Gangnam style and Carly Rae Jepsen’s – Call Me Maybe. Overall I had a great time and it was a fun photography experience both for me and Sunflower Productions. I really hope they enjoy the pictures! They will be posted on our website soon for previewing.
Here is one of my favorites from the night. Enjoy!
